It is advisable that you adhere to the passport and visa requirements of the Island. In general, citizens of the USA, Commonwealth countries (except Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the Cayman Islands, Nigeria and the British Virgin Islands) and most developed countries do not require a visa for entry to Jamaica.
However, visitors who have been permitted to enter the Island for a specified period (e.g. 14, 30, 60 90 days or 6 months) will require a visa if they intend to stay beyond the stated time. Visa is also required for persons entering the Island to study or work.
